License error: Invalid hostid on SERVER line

Solution

There are multiple solutions to resolve this issue. Below are the top three solutions:

  1. If the license is tied to a USB dongle, double-check to make sure it is plugged in to the computer.

  2. Users may need to install a USB driver.

  3. If the license is tied to a MAC address, make sure the hostID in the license file matches one of the Ethernet addresses.
