Add file for simulation without manually adding the file to design.

Description:

I need the simulator to read a .mif file for simulation. But I do not want to add the file to the design. Can I do that?

Please check predefined Active-HDL variables chapter in our Help section:

1. Click on the Help tab.

2. Select either PDF Documentation or HTML Documentation.

3. Click on Product Help.

4. Select Active-HDL Macro Language | Using Macro Commands in Active-HDL GUI | Active-HDL Predefined Variables.

5. Then, you can use either sim_readfile_folder or sim_working_folder variable.
