1.2 Basics: Design Flow Manager A typical design path includes the design entry phase, synthesis, and implementation where each stage is typically followed by simulation. The Design Flow Manager (DFM) implemented in Active-HDL is designed to automate these processes. The user interface of the Design Flow Manager takes the form of design flowcharts and shows the design path in a graphical form.
